Loose Space

Using the Site’s qualities to create a place that is free, ever changing and limitless. A public space that is informal, fluid and inviting. Depending of time of day, this project can hold different activities, different crowds and different intensities. The project is acting as natural topography, and defines different spaces without any walls or physical borders.

Dgania a and Truman

A residential building in the corner of Dgania boulevard and Truman st., located on the coast of Haifa. The two rectangles forming the building are angled in the direction of both streets so to define the intersection.

The ground floor allows easy access for pedestrians, and contains shops and stores as part of the street.

The project introduces a new concept of living and community, in which the family unit is spread over three floors, one for each age group. Between the family units there is a shared space, in it the different groups can interact. All without damaging the family unit.

A net-like structure surrounds the building, making it cooler while allowing for the sea-breeze to get in.

All drawings made by hand, using color oil pencils and black pens.
